Web Resources on Climate Change

MIT Alumni for Climate Solutions
Many resources are available on the web (see links below) to better understand the magnitude of the climate change problem as well as the impacts of climate change to Maryland. The Maryland Commission on Climate Change (MCCC) has provided many valuable resources, including data and strategies to reduce the state's greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. We have also provided access to data on energy and greenhouse gas emissions in comparison to other states and nations from links below. Additional Maryland-specific information is available from the US Energy Information Administration (EIA) and Yale Program on Climate Change Communication (YPCCC) links.

As climate change is a threat not only to Maryland, but the entire world, additional resources are provided further below to NASA and NOAA who are examining climate changes over a broader time-frame throughout the country and the world. Finally, links to several carbon footprint calculators from the EPA, Nature Conservancy, and United Nations as well as the Union of Concerned Scientists electric vehicle emission tool are included, which will help Maryland citizens assess how their individual choices will affect carbon emissions and climate change.
